The story of Journey Church started long before its first small gathering in 2003. We believe that it began in the heart of God. This is the only explanation for how a dream to reach people far from God could turn into the 1,000 person church it is today. We believe that God is doing something special in our community and in our world, through the people of Journey Church.

Our founder and senior pastor, Scott Baugh, his wife Raquel, and 16 others began meeting in a home in Lake Worth, Florida. They shared a fervent desire to help people connect with God, belong to something bigger than themselves and become everything God created them to be. This began the movement known today as Journey Church.

That original handful of individuals soon became larger in number, outgrew their first home and moved to a clubhouse. When this became too small, they relocated to the cafeteria of Lake Worth Christian School. The church continued to grow. Soon they moved into the school gymnasium, expanded the children's ministry environment in their elementary building and purchased and renovated a property beside it, now known as Journey House.

Journey House is used daily for Student Ministries, Men's and Women's Groups, special events and provides office space for the staff. Sunday morning services are currently held at the Park Vista High School, which hosts one of the largest student bodies in Palm Beach County.

Journey Church is not a building. It is people. People helping people CONNECT with God, BELONG to something bigger than themselves and BECOME everything God created them to be.

Over the last seven years, we have been privileged to see hundreds come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, become water baptized, and serve their church, local community and the world. We have been honored to witness the transformation of people's lives at home, in the work place, and in their personal relationships.
